New York,
has announced that it will begin to offer reciprocity for Non-IV-E eligible children with state funded medical assistance beginning May 1, 2008. Reciprocity will be offered to those states which will reciprocate with New York. New children moving to the state as of that date will receive coverage. The benefits will not be retroactive to children from other states currently living in New York but it will provide coverage as of that date. New York requests that states notify them of the names of children from their state to ensure the coverage is activated.
