Faye Wilson,
Program Supervisor for the Office of Permanency in the Alabama Department of Human Resources has been named to the AAICAMA Executive Committee as a member-at-large to fill the unexpired term of Susan Klickman who retired from State service in Texas. Faye will serve until the end of 2008.
Faye’s responsibilities include managing the Office of Constituency and County Support which includes ICAMA, Adoption Intake, legally mandated issues and responsibilities including registry maintenance and clearances, Policy, and Training (both development of curriculum and presentation on adoption issues, policy, and best practice.) She serves as the Deputy Compact Administrator for ICAMA and has been in the field of social work for 34 years, 23 of which has been with the Alabama Department of Human Resources.
She says “I know how important support, good communication, and easy access to services are for adoptive families of children who meet special needs criteria and have suffered childhood trauma. It has always been my goal that families experience the Department in a positive way. To that end, I have developed strong partnerships with other states' ICAMA staff and Alabama Medicaid staff to foster better service for adoptive families and their children.”
Join us in welcoming Faye!
